Seagate 2TB - Viteza Transfer Fisiere USB 3.0 HDD Extern

Daca ne referim la capacitate da ,nu prea poti stoca mare lucru ,daca vrei sa scrii si sa citesti rapid e ceva diferenta :teoretic de la 60 la 300 MB/s, practic cam 34-40 la 150-180 pe citire. Mai e diferenta de costuri dar na ...cine vrea viteza isi ia Bugatti nu Logan.

Pe laptop am SSD si este de cativa ani... Booteaza si acuma foarte repede si sunt obisnuit asa cu el. Daca nu as avea, as cumpara unul. Are doar 60GB si ma inghesui in el. Ca si operatii de citire de pe el pe el, chiar si la fisiere mici se descurca excelent. Am SSD in RAID si in Synology, dar acolo nu simt sporul de performanta...
Depinde mult si ce faci cu acel SSD sa ai viteza.

La mine in specificatii scrie asa : USB 3.0 = 5Gb/S USB 2.0 = 480Mb/s

USB 3.0 was released in November 2008. The standard defines a new SuperSpeed mode with a signaling speed of 5 Gbit/s and, due to encoding overhead, usable data rate of up to 4 Gbit/s (500 MB/s). A USB 3.0 port is usually colored blue, and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.

The USB 3.0 Promoter Group announced on 17 November 2008 that the specification of version 3.0 had been completed and had made the transition to the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the managing body of USB specifications.[21] This move effectively opened the specification to hardware developers for implementation in products.

The new SuperSpeed bus provides a fourth transfer mode at 5.0 Gbit/s (raw data rate), in addition to the modes supported by earlier versions. The payload throughput is 4 Gbit/s (using 8b/10b encoding), and the specification considers it reasonable to achieve around 3.2 Gbit/s (0.4 GB/s or 400 MB/s), which should increase with future hardware advances. Communication is full-duplex in SuperSpeed transfer mode; in the modes supported previously, by 1.x and 2.0, communication is half-duplex, with direction controlled by the host.[22]

As with previous USB versions, USB 3.0 ports come in low-power and high-power variants, providing 150 mA and 900 mA respectively while simultaneously transmitting data at SuperSpeed rates.[23] Additionally, there is a Battery Charging Specification (Version 1.2 – December 2010), which increases the power handling capability to 1.5 A but does not allow concurrent data transmission.[20] The Battery Charging Specification requires that the physical ports themselves be capable of handling 5 A of current[citation needed] but the specification limits the maximum current drawn to 1.5 A.

Poza 1: Primul este hdd extern iar al 2lea hdd-ul laptopului.
Poza 2: hdd extern dupa dezinstalarea driverului.

Dupa mai multe chestii citite pe net.. am dezinstalat driverul apoi am rulat un nou test si am obtinut rezultate total diferite. De asemenea viteze de transfer a fisierelor a ajuns la 50-60 MB/sec cum ziceam initial.

Ciudat.. se pune praful pe driver sau cum?

LE: Niciodata nu am folosit driver pentru HDD extern, de la WinXP incoace... De ce ai instalat tu driver?

Driverul care se instaleaza automat cand se conecteaza hardul

@CataLiNNN: In pozele puse de tine pt Seagate ai Blocksize diferit. De aici si rezultate diferite.

Dar la Random Read, ambele pe 256KB tot este diferenta mare.
